Flow Meter Filling Systems

Packaging Dynamics, Ltd. introduces the Accu-Flo Liquid Filler SLA-V2, which utilizes positive-displacement flowmeter technology. Our positive displacement flow meters use two rotating thermoplastic impellers driven by flowing liquid.  Magnets imbedded in the impellers activate a non intrusive sensor which generates a pulsed output signal.  Each pulse represents a known volume. A K Factor converts the pulses into engineering units for remote data collection and digital display.  The process allows our fillers to achieve a +/-0.5% accuracy and repeatability.  The meter has only two moving parts, no bearings, no motors,  no clutch or brakes and is programmed through our microprocessor touch pad for virtually any volume.  This reduces the amount of mechanical moving parts and adds to the long term reliability of the system.  The size and output of the flow meter ranges from 1/4 inch NPT to 1.5 inch NPT depending on the size of the container, the viscosity of the product and the speed required.  This equipment is available from single to twelve head models and handles viscosities from water thin to gels and thick creams.  Available also in semi-automatic.  The Accu Flo can be used to fill from bags to 55 gallon drums.  Our easy to use pneumatic slide plate allows the operator to load and or assemble bags or containers while the system files. Packaging Dynamics, Ltd. introduces the Mass Flow Liquid Filler SLA-MF which utilizes Micro Motion Coriolis flow meter mass technology. The Coriolis flow meters measure mass directly and therefore are insensitive to changes in process conditions or fluid composition./  The system meets performance requirements of manufacturers in the cosmetic, pharmaceutical, food and beverage industries.  These requirements include an accuracy of +/- 0.5 %.  Product viscosities vary from water to 40,000 cP with particulates.  The Coriolis flow meters also allow measurements of density and temperature to keep products within quality specifications.  Changing over a piston filler means many hours of dismantling, cleaning and re-assembling before production can continue.  The Flow meters change over procedures are easy. The operator will simply run clean in place fluid (CIP) through the flow meters then set a new fill weight.  The equipment is available from single to twelve head models and handles viscosities from water thin to gels and thick creams.  Available in semi and fully automatic variations, the Mass flow meters can be used to fill from fractional containers to 55 gallon drums.
